Montreal's very own ambient synth disco king will drop the follow up to his acclaimed Panesian Nights EP on October 27th via Paper Bag Records . Continent will feature 12 tracks of carefully crafted atmospheric gems.
"For the songs on this album I usually started with an idea in mind of a specific atmosphere I wanted to convey," says Silver. "That atmosphere, whether it was something hazy, nostalgic, otherworldly or unsettling, was always the first thing to come to a track. The songs range from mid-tempo nu-disco to balearic, house to ambient. Often the basis of the atmosphere was culled from films by Werner Herzog, Michael Mann, David Lynch, and David Cronenberg as well as countless musical influences including Arthur Russell, Saint Etienne, and Tangerine Dream."
Before Continent however, CFCF plans to unveil an EP called The Explorers featuring label mate Sally Shapiro. This one comes to us October 6th!

One of my most hotly anticipated records. I've been following Silver for awhile now back from his humble days on Hipinion and I love his stuff. Can't wait to get this on vinyl.
