Give Me Danger
I recently led a team of norwegian bio-chemists over the desolate desert of Chuang-Sumon in Mongolia in search for certain rare specimens of the Phyllodoce empetriformis, a plant known for its medicinal properties. Instead, we found new Of Montreal tracks. Kevin Barnes is one of my favourite songwriters and he's created one of the most unique sounds in indie-pop, one that is instantly recognizable. Here are 2 remakes of a Skeletal Lamping fav, An Eluardian Instance.
The first track is a rework by once Grammy nominated producer, Jon Brion. Not bad, but I like the next one more!
The second track is called Of Chicago Acoustic Version Of 'An Eluardian Instance' . Of Chicago?? I like it. With the help of instruments like a mandolin, the band creates an organic acoustic sound that is rarely heard from the Athens, Georgia outfit.I really still feel like 2008. Perfect I guess, cause blogging is so 08'.
Of Winnipeg.
